At ENFRA, stability, innovation, and growth are more than just values—they are the pillars of our continued success.Overview The Building Automation Systems (BAS) Project Representative serves as the IS Delivery project team's technical authority and client advocate, responsible for planning, procurement strategy, construction oversight, system activation, and operational turnover of building automation and controls systems.This role ensures BAS infrastructure is capable of and supports all required project outcomes, including technical requirements, operational stability, resiliency, regulatory compliance, and financial obligations.The position provides leadership across architects, engineers, controls contractors, mechanical contractors, commissioning agents, and facility operations teams, ensuring that building automation systems are designed for performance, maintainability, cybersecurity, and long‑term operational value.Responsibilities BAS Planning & Program DevelopmentSupport the project team by developing BAS procurement, contracting, and execution plans for IS Delivery portfolios.Ensure compliance with controls architecture, integration strategies, and interoperability standards.Collaborate with Engineering, Data Delivery, M&V, and Analytics to ensure system requirements for HVAC controls, central plants, critical environments, energy management, and fault detection systems are delivered by the construction team.Collaborate with ENFRA and client facilities leadership to align BAS systems with ENFRA designs specific to the project portfolio, required operational reliability, energy efficiency, and sustainability goals.Lead technology evaluations for all proposed solutions, systems, platforms, and componentsEnsure bidder qualifications and quality control programs meet ENFRA requirementsDesign Collaboration with Project Engineering Team: Collaborate on design and submittal documents for building automation systems.Support Engineering teams to ensure compliance with: ENFRA standardsOwner requirementsIndustry standards and best practicesRegulatory requirementsCybersecurity and IT standardsCoordinate BAS integration with: HVAC systemsCentral utility plantsElectrical monitoring systemsLighting controlsSecurity and life safety systemsAnalyticsMeasurement and VerificationParticipate in design reviews, constructability reviews, and value engineering efforts.Procurement & Contracting: Develop procurement documents and solicitations for control systems and integration platforms.Prepare and review for bidders: BAS specificationsBid packagesVendor qualification criteriaEvaluate contractor proposals and recommend vendor selection.Ensure procurement aligns with open protocol standards (BACnet, Modbus, etc.) and owner interoperability requirements.Construction Team Support: Provide technical support during construction to ensure proper installation of: BAS infrastructureControls hardwareField devicesNetwork architectureProvide support with reviewing: SubmittalsControls drawingsSequence of operationsNetwork architecture diagramsMonitor project progress to ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.Commissioning & Functional Performance: Support building automation commissioning activities as required by ENFRACollaborate with contractors, engineers, and commissioning authorities to ensure rapid, practical resolution of issues that impede project outcomes.System Integration & Data Strategy: Support BAS integration with enterprise systems including: Energy management platformsAnalytics and fault detection systemsCMMS / asset management systemsIoT platformsFacilitate data architecture and naming conventions to support long‑term analytics and reporting when required.Support Turnover & Operational Readiness: Assist with documentation, training, and system turnover to facility operations teams.Review: As‑built documentationGraphicsControl narrativesO&M manualsFacilitate BAS training programs for facility staff.Support post‑occupancy system optimization and performance tuning as required.Qualifications 10+ years experience in building automation systems design, construction, commissioning, or operations.Experience with complex facilities such as: HospitalsResearch laboratoriesPharmaceutical facilitiesMission‑critical environmentsLarge commercial buildingsExperience managing BAS through the full project lifecycle.Preferred Education, Experience, And Qualifications Strong knowledge of: HVAC control systemsBAS architecture and integrationOpen protocol communications (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks)Central plant automationLaboratory and healthcare environmental controlCommissioning processesControl sequences and system optimizationBuilding energy management systemsBAS cybersecurity best practicesPreferred Qualifications: Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM)Certified Energy Manager (CEM)Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP)LEED Accredited ProfessionalProfessional Engineer (PE)Pay Range USD $101,610.00 -
