Our people at JLL are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology for our clients.Position DetailsTitle: Data Center Operating EngineerLocation: On-site, Elk Grove Village, ILShifts: Swing and third – open availability preferred.Compensation: $101,379.00 per yearResponsibilitiesMaintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems to maintain 100% uptime, including fire/life safety, HVAC, chillers, cooling equipment, electrical systems, hot water systems, and related mechanical and electrical equipment.Analyze operation of various systems, determine causes of problems or malfunctions, and take corrective action as required; comply with departmental policy for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials and maintain a clean and safe workplace.Learn and understand the data center site to manage incidents and events that put critical systems at risk.Manage work orders, including CMMS, vendor management, and customer-facing tickets.Understand and comply with emergency escalation procedures.Perform additional job duties as required.Physical Work Abilities & RequirementsFrequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working overhead.Walk large, campus-like settings.Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.Climb stairs and navigate rooftops to access equipment.Use ladders up to 30 ft and work from heights; climb a ladder with a 300‑lb weight limit.Be able to work different schedules, holidays, and respond to site emergencies.Desired Experience and Technical SkillsRequired2+ years of experience working in a data center or critical facility.Experience with building systems, including UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgears.Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.Working knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite, and CMMS.PreferredUniversal EPA 608 certification.Training in NFPA 70E.Benefits401(k) plan with matching company contributions.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision care.Paid parental leave at 100% of salary.Paid time off and company holidays.Early access to earned wages through Daily Pay.Equal Employment Opportunity Statement: Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.Accepting applications on an ongoing basis until a candidate is identified.#J-18808-Ljbffr
