About the Role

  • In this vital role, you will support the maintenance and operation of the building systems inside a client facility. The Building Engineer performs complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment and grounds. Role will serve as lead for R&M services of building, partners with site FM to prioritize assignments within team, provides recommendations for process improvement and equipment repaireplacement, inventory control, supply procurement, on-call 24/7 rotates within team, Must be able to work independently or with a team, work from heights,

What You'll Do

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.

  • Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.

  • Stay in sync with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety.

  • Oversee and inspect the work performed by outside contractors.

  • Predict and perform assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.

  • Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials needed to complete repair.

  • Maintain an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.

  • Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members.

  • Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned.

What You'll Need

  • HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Fire Alarm operation, critical emergency generators and UPS systems

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

  • A minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or trade school training.

  • Effective communication, presentation, problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

  • Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations.

  • Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Knowledge of overhead doors and dock equipment operation, low voltage access control systems
