Certerra is seeking a Building Envelope Forensics Inspector (BEFI) for our Paramount Consulting & Engineering group based in Miami, FL. The BEFI will have knowledge and background in architecture, engineering, or a related field, as well as experience in different building envelope systems including but not limited to waterproofing, roofing systems, glazing, stucco cladding, coating and paints.
The BEFI will be in direct communication with clients and PCE's project managers, will help coordinating the project's site visit and comply with the project's contract agreement and scope ofwork related to ongoing projects.
The primary role of the BEFI is to assess, analyze, and provide our expert opinion of the building and the building envelope system's current condition to help determine the needed fixes; ensure a water and weather-tight building envelope system and promote a long-lasting system performance and design to promote peace of mind to owners and stakeholders.
BEFI Primary Responsibilities are (not limiting to):
• Strong knowledge of building envelope systems, including roofing, waterproofing, insulation, cladding, and fenestration, along with their associated materials, construction techniques, and performance factors.
