Job Summary
This position inspects buildings to ensure compliance with applicable national, state and county building, safety and energy codes. Reports to the Chief Plumbing Inspector.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires moderate physical effort including lifting up to 50 pounds. May require frequent crouching, kneeling, bending, and stooping. Frequent periods of standing or walking may be required.

Per Broward County Administrative Code 104.14.3 for a person to be eligible for appointment as Plumbing Inspector, are you able to be certified by BORA and do you meet at least one (1) of the following requirements? Supporting documentation must be provided. Engineer in the discipline requested. Five (5) years of construction experience in the plumbing discipline in a supervisory capacity and possess a Certificate of Competency as a Master Plumber or Plumbing Contractor. Five (5) years of construction experience in the plumbing discipline and five (5) years of experience as a Plumbing Inspector certified by BCAIB and possess a Certificate of Competency as a Master Plumber or Plumbing Contractor. Seven (7) years of construction experience in the plumbing discipline and possess a Certificate of competency as a Journeyman Plumber. Ten (10) years of experience as a Plumbing Inspector certified by BCAIB.
