The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Through CAC-funded programs, building maintenance staff have the opportunity to earn CPR certification and become a State of Illinois Certified Pool Operator. This is an hourly full-time position and is based on a minimum of 40 hours per week. On occasion, some projects or tasks may need to be performed after club hours. Starting pay is $26-$36 an hour, with benefits, sick time and paid PTO.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain the club’s buildings, pools, HVAC systems, equipment, and surrounding property.
Perform preventative maintenance on pool, HVAC, laundry, fitness, and facility equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs as needed.
Respond to facility emergencies and complete repairs to keep the club running safely and efficiently.
Conduct routine inspections and address maintenance or safety issues before they become larger problems.
Complete maintenance requests, manage supplies, and coordinate with outside vendors when needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while providing professional service to members, staff, and vendors.
