Bradley Professional is currently seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Lead for our client.
The Building Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and general upkeep of multiple commercial properties. This is a hands-on leadership position that will supervise two maintenance employees while also performing routine repairs, inspections, and facility maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general commercial building maintenance and repairs.
Complete basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, fixtures, and other minor plumbing issues.
Perform light electrical troubleshooting and repairs, including switches, outlets, lighting, and related building systems.
Replace ceiling tiles and complete other minor facility repairs as needed.
Monitor the computerized building temperature/HVAC control system to ensure properties are operating properly.
Coordinate with and oversee outside HVAC technicians and other service vendors.
Ensure HVAC and building systems are operational each morning.
Conduct routine walks and inspections of buildings to identify maintenance, safety, or appearance concerns.
Address minor repairs immediately and coordinate outside service providers when necessary.
Maintain the general appearance of properties, including picking up trash and addressing exterior maintenance concerns.
Supervise, assign work to, and provide direction to two maintenance employees.
Respond to building maintenance requests and prioritize work based on urgency.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment throughout all assigned properties.
Qualifications
Previous commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or property maintenance experience required.
Working knowledge of commercial plumbing and basic electrical systems.
General knowledge of HVAC systems and building temperature controls preferred.
Experience coordinating with outside contractors and service technicians.
Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability and willingness to perform hands-on maintenance work.
Ability to walk properties regularly and perform the physical requirements associated with building maintenance.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to identify maintenance issues without waiting for direction.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record may be required.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their properties, notices problems before they become bigger issues, and is comfortable handling everything from a minor plumbing repair to coordinating an HVAC service call.
