The Beaver River Central School District is currently accepting applications for 2026-2027 school year: Building Maintenance Mechanic A building maintenance mechanic is a skilled, hands-on role focused on the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of facilities. Mechanics perform journey-level work across multiple trades to ensure buildings and grounds remain safe, functional, and operational. Independently handles skilled tasks in carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, welding and electrical. Operates, maintains, and repairs building support equipment, including boilers, air handling units, pumps, and generators. Troubleshoots equipment failures, fixes plumbing fixtures, replaces electrical wiring, and repairs building structures from foundations to roofs. Participates in general grounds upkeep and snow removal, including operating plows and salting equipment. Estimates time and materials for jobs, maintains tool and part inventories, and logs preventive maintenance data. Minimum requirements: Completion and certification from a vocational-technical school in carpentry, electrical, HVAC or building maintenance; or a high school diploma or equivalency plus 2 years of experience in building construction, cleaning or maintenance; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Hours: Salary: Start Date: 8.00 hours per day: 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. $22.00 - $25.00 As soon as possible This position will be filled in accordance with Civil Service Rules and Regulations.
