Job Description

This position typically starts at $18 per hour and works a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members begin accruing PTO starting on day one, and full‑time employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days.

Entry level facilities maintenance. Independently performs skilled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation work across multiple building trades. Resolves moderately complex equipment and facility issues, documents corrective actions, supports projects and vendors, and provides practical guidance to less-experienced technicians.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Up to 2 years of maintenance, construction, hotel engineering, apartment maintenance, or related experience preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, repair techniques, and computer/mobile applications.

  • Valid driver''s license may be required.

  • Trade school training, safety certifications, or experience in a 24/7 commercial environment are a plus.

  • Basic understanding of building maintenance systems and safety practices.

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, prioritize tasks, and work independently.

  • Strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to follow instructions, complete documentation, and maintain reliable attendance.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and around mechanical equipment.

  • Ability to use personal protective equipment and communicate effectively by phone or radio.

  • Work is performed throughout a casino, hotel, and entertainment facility.

  • Schedule may include nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call assignments.

  • Must obtain and maintain any required licenses, certifications, permits, or gaming credentials.

  • Must meet company requirements for background screening, drug testing, and driving eligibility, when applicable.

  • Complete work safely, accurately, and on time.

  • Maintain clear documentation and communication.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and respect for company assets and guests.

  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance and basic inspections in accordance with established schedules, checklists, manufacturer guidance, and department procedures.

  • Perform routine repairs involving doors, locks, hardware, furniture, walls, ceilings, flooring, fixtures, signage, and other building components.

  • Assist with basic plumbing tasks such as repairing or replacing faucets, flush valves, supply lines, traps, fixtures, and clearing minor drain obstructions within authorized scope.

  • Assist with basic electrical tasks such as replacing lamps, approved fixtures, switches, receptacles, and related components within training, licensing, and safety limitations.

  • Perform painting, patching, caulking, minor carpentry, assembly, moving, installation, and general property upkeep assignments.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to work orders and service requests from guests and departments; communicate status and escalate unresolved or unsafe conditions

  • Inspect assigned areas for leaks, damage, trip hazards, unusual sounds or odors, lighting concerns, deterioration, and other deficiencies.

  • Use the computerized maintenance management system or approved work-order process to document labor, materials, observations, and completion details accurately.

  • Prepare work areas, protect adjacent finishes, post required signage or barriers, and restore areas to a clean and operational condition after work is complete.

  • Maintain assigned tools, carts, equipment, parts, and workspaces in safe, clean, and serviceable condition.

  • Assist higher-level technicians, contractors, and department leadership with repairs, projects, shutdowns, emergencies, and special events.

  • Provide courteous service and minimize disruption to gaming, hotel, food and beverage, entertainment, and administrative operations.

  • Comply with all company policies, safety rules, internal controls, emergency procedures, and applicable federal, state, local, and gaming regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain any required gaming license, registration, work permit, driver qualification, or other property-specific credential as a condition of employment.

  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, injuries, security concerns, compliance issues, equipment failures, and suspected hazards through established channels.

  • Protect confidential information and safeguard property assets, keys, tools, materials, and access credentials.
