POSITION: Building Maintenance Tech II WAGE: $42636 per month & up pending qualifications. DAYS AND HOURS: 7am - 3pm Mon - Fri Position requires on-call rotation every three weeks. DUTIES: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Assists in maintenance of all County buildings and grounds and special construction projects. Works as a team member of the Building Maintenance Department and performs duties including but not limited to the County buildings. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The following duty statements are illustrative of the essential functions of the job and do not include other nonessential or marginal duties that may be required. The County reserves the right to modify or change the duties or essential functions of this job at any time. - Assists with some construction projects. - Cuts lawns, using hand mower or power mower. - Repairs and services automatic sprinkler systems. - Works an on-call rotation. - Assists with plumbing, heating, and ventilation work. - Paints walls, floors, woodwork and fixture of buildings. - Repairs and services small machinery, light equipment, and physical structures. - Removes ice and snow. - Other duties as assigned. Starting salary for this position is: $42,636 annually DAYS/HRS.: Full Time permanent daytime hrs. REQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalent. One year experience in construction and maintenance. - Valid Colorado driver license. - Ability to pass security background checks. - Ability to understand and follow directions as given. - Strong verbal and interpersonal skills. - Ability to read, speak, and understand English well. - Ability to climb and work at heights of up to 40 feet. - ? Must complete Emergency Management Institutes NIMS Courses IS-700 & IS-100 within 6 months of hire.
