This position is responsible for:
Perform routine and general maintenance and minor repairs of buildings and equipment; perform minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repair work. Ensure all equipment remains in proper working order and complies with standard operating procedures and safety standards; Operate the Salvation Army vehicle to carry out job related responsibilities; Serve as first contact and respond to all security alarms and maintenance concerns. Provide custodial care for the common areas of the building and the grounds.

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively. Ability to walk and stand, and to climb ladders for extended periods. Ability to use tools and equipment may be required for repairs. Duties are usually performed standing, bending, walking, sitting, climbing, or stooping throughout the day. May be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting. Ability to regularly lift and move items up to 100+ pounds, with appropriate assistance or equipment as needed. Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work requires working outdoors with exposure to physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
