This position typically starts at $21 per hour, based on experience, and works a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members begin accruing PTO starting on day one, and full‑time employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days.
Responsible for independently performing general grounds, minor repairs and preventative maintenance duties in support of assigned facilities. Management expects the Team Member to exercise judgment and initiative in their assigned tasks, receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. Responsibilities include inspecting and attending to assigned areas in a timely manner, maintaining maintenance records, and overseeing and leading the work of staff. May also participate in overseeing operational and capital improvement maintenance projects. Positions at this level usually perform most of the duties required of the positions at the Building Tech III level but have less of an emphasis on leading the work of a larger number of staff, including full-time and/or are assigned to centers with a limited variety of and/or less complex facilities, systems, and/or equipment. Incumbents are eligible for on-the-job training but must first demonstrate proficiency with all of Building Maintenance Technician I position responsibilities as observed by Supervisor or Building Maintenance Technician III.
Must be at least 18 yrs. of age.

Must be able to obtain Missouri Gaming License
Must pass background check and drug test
Must be able to obtain a Class E License within 60 days

Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
Mobility and dexterity to constantly carry up to 50 pounds

Plans, schedules, prioritizes and assigns maintenance and grounds work to assigned staff and contractors; reviews and controls quality of work.
Provides feedback to leaders on development of Building Maintenance Technician I.
Inspects for maintenance and grounds needs; recommends appropriate actions; keeps immediate supervisor informed of building condition and needs through the use of reports communicated orally and in writing.
Coordinates and communicates with staff to develop work plans, procedures and schedules to meet maintenance needs and goals and in accordance with established and special operational priorities.
Assumes responsibility for the safety of, and access to facilities in inclement weather and be familiar with general confined space entry policy and procedures.
Maintains accurate records and logs of daily activities.
Able to communicate with and work with contractors engaged to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and systems.
Observes all safety regulations in the performance of duties to ensure protection of self, fellow workers, all equipment and facilities including knowledge and use of lock out / tag out procedures.
Responsible for training and or assisting with training Building Maintenance Technician I for advancement as directed by management.
