Job Summary: The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring safe and fully operational, clean and attractive buildings, both inside and outside. Buildings may include general offices as well as equipment offices, e.g., central switching offices.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Must obtain a Montana Pesticide License within the first year of employment.
Responsible for the preventative maintenance, general repair and minor construction of building projects, grounds, furniture, and associated equipment.
Perform construction work on company property as needed. Move office furniture and heavy equipment.
Operate power equipment used in maintaining building and grounds. See that equipment is properly used and in good working order, and that any required repairs are promptly reported.
Maintain and perform mechanical repairs on environmental systems
Remove snow, using shovels, blower, and tractor.
Maintain any associated maintenance/repair records.
Maintain HVAC filter systems.
Maintain grounds, mow, weed remove snow, etc.
Regular hours will be 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday
Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to fulfill job function or as assigned.
Clean and service all rooms, halls, offices and rest rooms. Vacuum, clean, mop and wax floors. Dust equipment. Clean windows, empty trash baskets and arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion, as needed.

Demonstrate a general understanding in a commercial setting of the following:
Basic Plumbing
Basic Electrical
HVAC Systems
General Building Maintenance
Underground Sprinkler Systems
Boiler Systems
Ground Source Heating Systems
Able to diagnose troubles associated with building/grounds and related equipment and work with peers/management to effect repairs.
Must have a valid driver’s license in the state where employee is a resident and be insurable without an increased premium or special risk coverage under the company’s motor vehicle liability insurance company’s underwriting standards.
Able to work in a team environment and interface with other departments in a positive/productive manner.
Education/Experience
Min 1 year experience in a technical trade or equivalent combination of education or experience is preferred.
Special Demands
May require evenings and/or weekend duty.
Will require travel to distant buildings.
Able to work under minimal direct supervision.
Operate under standard procedures.
