Building Materials Estimator/Inside Sales

Nelson-Young Lumber Company seeks a full-time Estimator/Inside Salesperson for our Evansville location. The role combines construction estimating (70%) with customer service and inside sales (30%) to help customers identify, price, and order project materials.Key responsibilities:Review plans, calculate quantities, and prepare accurate estimates.Understand customers' project needs.Answer customer product questions.Answer calls.Verify order accuracy and coordinate delivery.Qualifications:Building-product knowledge; one year of industry experienceAbility to read blueprints.Willingness to learn estimating and business technology.Strong customer service skills.Ability to build relationships with customers, vendors, and Dependable work habits andFamily-owned since 1913, Nelson-Young Lumber Co. operates lumber yards in Edgerton, Evansville, and Deerfield and a truss plant in Edgerton.
