Building Operations Coordinator- Fitness and Recreation

Position Introduction:

The department of Fitness and Recreation is seeking a dedicated Building Operations Coordinator to help oversee the daily maintenance, operations, and upkeep of our growing network of recreational facilities and outdoor spaces. This position plays a critical role in supporting over 700,000 annual facility visits by ensuring our fitness centers, aquatic facilities, recreational fields, and auxiliary spaces remain operational, safe, and ready to serve students, faculty, staff, and guests.

Working closely with the Assistant Director, the Building Operations Coordinator will lead a team of full-time and student employees while coordinating facility maintenance, cleaning operations, equipment inventory, purchasing, and risk management efforts across Fitness and Recreation facilities. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in building and equipment maintenance with exceptional leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills. Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 24 months of professional building management/facilities experience.

Equivalency/Substitution:  Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months of related experience.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

• Valid Driver's License
