Overview
Auburn University's School of Forestry is seeking a student assistant to join its Building Operations team. This role supports the Building Operations Coordinator with a variety of hands-on tasks, including assisting with the university vehicle fleet, completing department errands, and helping with event set-ups and tear-downs. Students in this position play an important role in keeping daily operations running smoothly and providing reliable support across multiple functions within the School of Forestry.
Responsibilities
Drive and transport university fleet vehicles for maintenance, fueling, oil changes, washing, and yearly inspections
Pick up serviced vehicles from the maintenance facility
Drop off and pick up event linens as needed
Purchase cleaning supplies and materials for fleet vehicles
Deliver accounting forms and documents to designated campus offices
Pick up surplus furniture and transport it as directed
Perform small repairs or tasks at assigned university properties
Conduct minor inspections or address small issues at designated research or operational sites
Qualifications
Enrolled student at Auburn University
Experience moving furniture or materials
Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Valid driver's license
Excellent driving record
