YOUR IMPACT
The Building Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of the YMCA building and grounds during assigned hours. Must be able to uphold all YMCA safety and member service standards while focusing on positive relationships with all members, staff, volunteers and guests at the YMCA facility. The Building Supervisor is an ambassador for the YMCA and should ensure delivery of high standards of customer service.

- Model YMCA core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, caring, and faith in all interactions
- Create a welcoming atmosphere that helps members of all ages feel safe, supported, and included
- Walk the facility and grounds regularly to monitor activity, identify needs, and support operations
- Respond to member questions, concerns, and service needs with professionalism and positivity
- Maintain visibility and approachability for members, guests, and staff throughout the facility
- Support Relationship Managers to ensure members can access the facility and receive assistance
- Serve as the primary responder for security issues, disciplinary incidents, alarms, and medical emergencies
- Contact police, fire, EMS, or other emergency services when needed and follow response protocols
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, risk management, grounds care, and member experience
- Document incidents and apply YMCA policies and procedures consistently
- Build relationships that foster community connection, social interaction, and mutual support
- Attend required trainings, meetings, and collaborate effectively with coworkers and leadership

Position 1: SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA
Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Thursday and Friday 5:00 - 10:00 pm
Saturday 12:00 - 6:00 pm
Sunday 1:00 - 5:00 pm
Occasional meetings outside of regular work shift times
$15.75 per hour
Position 2: SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA
Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Monday and Tuesday 4:00 - 10:00 pm
Saturday 2:00 - 6:00 pm
Occasional meetings outside of regular work shift times
$15.75 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS
- Six months to one-year related experience and/or training desired.
- Minimum age of 21 years old.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are a must; proven ability to work with children and adults of all ages.
- Previous customer service, sales or related experience strongly preferred.
- High degree of self-confidence and problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required within 90 days.
- Praesidium Academy trainings.
- Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations.
- Proven track record of developing authentic and deepened relationships with others.
