Role Overview

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a dependable Building Systems Maintenance Specialist to maintain the condition, safety, and uptime of commercial facilities. If you’re a natural problem-solver who enjoys working independently and mastering multiple trades, this is for you.

What You’ll Take On

• Proactively inspect buildings to spot maintenance and repair needs before they become issues.
• Service mechanical systems while following health and safety standards.
• Handle routine electrical work: replace fixtures, bulbs, outlets, and circuit breakers.
• Assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve problems with heating, plumbing, and related building systems.
• Check fire alarms and other life-safety systems; coordinate any needed repairs.
• Complete general repairs to doors, locks, windows, and interior fixtures.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
• Support landscaping, grounds care, and exterior building upkeep.
• Tackle painting, basic carpentry, and other facility improvement projects.
• Assist with pest control activities and help maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Follow company safety procedures and regulations at all times.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in facility or building maintenance (or closely related trade).
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Solid understanding of general maintenance and preventive maintenance practices.
• Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Self-directed work style with minimal supervision.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
• Ability to lift, carry, climb, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
