Building Technician/Handyman (Lake Forest Park, WA)

Molecular Epidemiology, Inc. is now accepting applications for a Building Technician/Handyman position to work at multiple properties in the greater Seattle area.

We are looking for a skilled and hard-working building technician to assist with maintaining and upkeep of commercial and residential buildings.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• A High school diploma or GED (preferred)

• Experience with carpentry, drywall installation and repair, painting, fixture and hardware replacement, and general plumbing and maintenance according to assigned scope.

• Ability to prepare work areas, protect occupied spaces and equipment, measure and cut materials, assemble components, and clean up at the end of each shift.

• Ability to perform typical work site duties (i.e., lifting, climbing, crawling, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling)

• Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs

• Familiarity with and ability to utilize common hand and power tools

• Ability to follow company standards for safety

• A valid US driver's license issued at least 5 years prior to the date of hire, with a clean driving record (including, at minimum, no at-fault accidents in the last 5 years) that meets/continues to meet IEH's motor vehicle risk standards, as verified through ongoing MVR monitoring.

The pay range for this position is $21.30 - $23.00 hourly. This is a full-time position and is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 6 paid holidays per year, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 401(k) (with up to 3% employer match after eligibility criteria are met).
