As a team we are committed inspired and connected to make a difference in the community.  What You Will DoAs Building Technician II you will perform painting responsibilities in accordance with all applicable industry standards laws and regulations. Under the direction of a Facilities Supervisor you will apply your painting and maintenance knowledge and skills to provide services to all County buildings. We are looking for a well-rounded individual with intermediate painting skills. Essential Duties
Independently complete painting tasks. Lead other workers on painting projects as needed
Perform maintenance and painting projects requiring technical skills such as drywall repair.
Operate a full range of painting tools and equipment including brushes rollers sprayers sanders and chemicals while following established safety guidelines. Maintain specialized equipment and tools.
Assist others with completing construction and renovation projects.
Operate aerial lifts and bucket truck.
Assist with snow removal at County facilities as needed.
Follow all established safety rules and regulations. Maintain a clean orderly and safe work environment.
Ensure all work is complete and timely to support department goals. Evaluate feedback and procedures to improve efficiency.
Invite collaboration and seek learning opportunities. Proactively assist peers to create a supportive work environment.

High school diploma or general education diploma GED
Two or more years of related experience
A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.
Required Licenses and Certifications
Class C non-commercial drivers license
Department of Transportation DOT physical card
Additional Information
May be required to work outside of standard hours.
Must meet Carroll County Risk Management driver eligibility requirements.
Requires criminal background check as condition of employment.
Working Conditions
Frequent exposure to potentially adverse environmental conditions including but not limited to chemicals noise and airborne particles.
Occasional exposure to potentially adverse weather conditions.
Frequent physical activity lifting and carrying over 50lbs climbing ladders and steps standingwalking pushingpulling bending reaching squatting stooping kneeling and related activities.
Must be able to perform work safely from a boom or aerial lift.
Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
