POSITION: Building Trades Instructor
LOCATION: Adirondack Educational Center - Saranac Lake, NY
DUTIES:
Assess, plan and provide instruction for students so that they may acquire the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes for successful employment or further training
Provide instruction so that students may acquire the necessary academic and hands-on skills necessary to meet New York State education outcomes and standards
Prepare students to meet local business and industry standards
Perform other duties assigned by the program administrator
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must possess or be eligible for a NYS Career and Technical Education (CTE) certification. Minimum 5 years occupational experience in any carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical and other related concentrations in the trade area. High school diploma required; Associate degree in related construction-based field preferred. NYSED fingerprint clearance required.
STARTING DATE: September 2026
SALARY: Competitive salary based on the collective bargaining agreement and relative experience
