QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must hold a valid Ohio High School Teaching License (712).
- Work experience in the construction or building trades field is preferred.
- Must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
- Must be an effective communicator and motivator.
- Must possess strong classroom management and leadership skills.
- Must be willing and able to carry out the duties of the job description.
- Willingness to engage in additional Career and Technical Education training
- Successful BCI & FBI background checks
DUTIES:
- Provide instruction in areas such as carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, and general construction safety.
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with academic standards and industry expectations.
- Understand and maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines related to Career and Technical Education and pre-apprenticeship programming.
- Supervise students in both classroom and hands-on shop/lab settings.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and functional learning environment, ensuring proper use and care of tools and equipment.
- Support students in building practical skills and exploring potential career pathways in the trades.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and community partners.
