Job Description

This warehouse worker role focuses on supporting the returns group in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will handle packages throughout the returns process, including loading and unloading trailers and trucks, sorting items to their correct destinations, and preparing products for shipment or rework. You will work as part of a diverse, collaborative, and energetic team that enjoys hands-on work and contributes directly to efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload packages from trailers and delivery trucks safely and efficiently.
• Sort packages accurately to ensure they reach the correct destination within the facility.
• Support the returns group by processing returned items according to established procedures.
• Perform packing and packaging tasks to prepare items for shipment, storage, or rework.
• Pick and pull orders accurately using order picking processes and tools.
• Handle materials throughout the warehouse, including moving, staging, and organizing products.
• Assist with general labor tasks such as cleaning work areas, organizing inventory, and maintaining a safe workspace.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to protect yourself, your team, and company property.
• Work effectively on assigned shifts and collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production and service goals.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in a warehouse environment or in a similar hands-on role.
• Ability to perform loading and unloading of packages and materials safely.
• Capability to lift, carry, and move packages as part of daily responsibilities.
• Skill in order picking, packing, and general material handling tasks.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to work assigned 1st or 2nd shift in a warehouse environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience handling inventory, including tracking and organizing stock.
• Comfort performing general labor tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and basic maintenance within the warehouse.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse environment within the returns section of a large distribution facility. You will work around trailers, delivery trucks, and active material handling equipment. Overhead fans provide air circulation, but the temperature will be hot in the summer and cooler in the winter months, so you should be comfortable working in varying climate conditions. The role operates on 1st and 2nd shifts, and you will spend most of your time on your feet, moving, lifting, and handling packages and materials throughout the shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Elizabethtown, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
