SHIPPING - BULK PACKER
1st Shift (8:00am-4:00pm)
Job Summary:
Package bulk and foreign shipments as instructed on the job jacket and process shipment through the company shipping system.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Pack product as required for shipment.
- Label cartons as specified by customer.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and enter transactions into workflow system in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of shipping software, postal meters and the shrink wrap machine.
- Follow all required safety procedures such as: PPE, Ergonomics, etc.
- Perform job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees.
- Assist with housekeeping in the Distribution area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attention to detail
- Computer literacy
- Good reading comprehension skills
- Basic math and counting skills
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Previous Shipping experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand in place for long periods of time.
