Performance Responsibilities:
The Food Service Worker is responsible for all assigned aspects of meal production, service, sanitation, and safety.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines:
Ensure that all food, dry goods, and chemicals are handled and stored appropriately
Date, rotate, and discard all appropriate food items
Ensure that the kitchen and cafeteria are sanitized and organized
Make sure that all equipment, dishware, and utensils are sanitized
Use proper food handling techniques:
Use appropriate hand-washing methods, gloves, and hair restraints as needed
Monitor the temperature of food as it passes through the flow of storage, production, service, and transportation
Serve students and staff from the cafeteria counter
Washes used trays and dishes from the kitchen and cafeteria
Loads and unloads dish machines
Checks dish machine operation and promptly reports any technical/performance issues
Maintains sanitation and temperature logs
Assists in the cleaning of counters, tables, and furnishings in the kitchen area
Assist in end-of-day cleanup, including but not limited to washing/sanitizing pots, pans, dishes, silverware, tables, and all other equipment as necessary
Other reasonable duties as assigned by the kitchen manager and/or director
