As a Bun Prep you will support daily kitchen operations by efficiently operating and maintaining specialized bun and dessert dumpling machinery. You will manage the full production cycle,from loading and unloading steamers to packing, sealing, and labeling finished products according to health regulations and Din Tai Fung standards. A key focus of this role is performing rigorous quality control checks to ensure every item meets our strict consistency and presentation benchmarks.

PAY RATE FOR BUN PREP: $20.50/hour
The base salary or hourly wage range for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. AM shifts : Tuesdays - Saturdays 6:00 PM - 1:30 PM

SUPPORTING FUNCTIONS: - Keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized
- Organizes items within the walk-in coolers and freezers
- Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
- Assists with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures ("SOP's")
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR BUN PREP:

- Monday-Saturday Availability preferred
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
PHYSICAL DEMANDS- Frequently needs to work in wet or humid conditions, near moving parts, in extreme non-weather heat, and in extreme non-weather cold
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and/or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per day, and push a cart weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Constantly exposed to both hot and cold temperature conditions is pertinent.
- Follows all safety procedures, uses restaurant safety words during all shifts, and asks for assistance as needed
- Must practice proper body mechanics and use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury:
- Cutting gloves when cutting
- Back support belt when lifting heavy items
- Goggles and long gloves when working with chemicals
- Other PPE as needed (if applicable)
