Contract Position: Power BI & Reporting Automation Consultant

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Power BI and automation consultant to support a six month initiative focused on modernizing and standardizing enterprise reporting. This role will play a key part in eliminating manual, email driven reports by building scalable

Power BI dashboards and automating end-to-end reporting processes using Power Automate and Python.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a process improvement mindset, and the ability to translate business needs into reliable, standardized reporting Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards aligned to standardized data models and KPIs
• Migrate legacy and manual reports into automated, self-service reporting solutions
• Build and maintain Power Automate workflows to support reporting refreshes, notifications, and data movement
• Leverage Python to automate data preparation, validation, and advanced transformations as needed
• Collaborate with business and analytics partners to gather requirements and ensure alignment to routines and decision making
• Improve documentation, standards, and handoff materials to ensure sustainability beyond the contract period

Required Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, performance tuning, governance)
• Experience designing and supporting workflows using Power Automate
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation
• Strong understanding of data modeling best practices (e.g., star schema, fact/dimension tables)
• Experience standardizing reporting and KPIs across teams or functions
• Ability to identify manual processes and redesign them into scalable, automated Solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with Power BI workspace strategy, access controls, and certified datasets
• Experience in retail, operations, or fieldfacing analytics environments
• Knowledge of version control (e.g., Git) or deployment pipelines for BI assets
• Strong communication and documentation skills to support adoption and change Management

• Delivery of consistent, trusted, and standardized Power BI dashboards
• Automated, well documented reporting processes that can be maintained post[engagement
