JOB TITLE: SPECIAL EDUCATION BUS AIDE

QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrates aptitude for the work to be performed

REPORTS TO: Transportation Director

JOB GOAL: To help in providing a smoothly functioning transportation service for exceptional students.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists disabled students on and off the Special Bus.
• Secures the students in the seats of the bus.
• Maintains discipline on the bus.
• Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the driver needs or the Director of Transportation may assign from time to time.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• 173-day contract
• Salary to be established by the Board.

STATUS:

• Non-Exempt Support

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy of evaluation for classified personnel.
