Job Title: Loan Operations Specialist
Location: Johnston, RI
Duration: 3-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $21.15/hr (W2)
Schedule: 100% Onsite | Start time between 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM

Job Summary:
The Loan Operations Specialist provides research and analytical support for lending account reviews. This role involves recreating and verifying loan account histories, performing high-volume data entry, and researching payment activity to identify delinquency timelines. The position requires strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage repetitive tasks with high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recreate and verify loan account history and statements

  • Research loan accounts, credit lines, and payment/debit history

  • Identify first delinquency dates through payment activity research

  • Perform data entry using locked Excel templates (no formula editing)

  • Self-assign and process 20–100 accounts daily from a work queue

  • Conduct peer quality control (QC) reviews on team members' work

  • Follow established SOPs and workflow procedures

  • Communicate internally via Microsoft Teams and email

  • Provide feedback, ask questions, and collaborate with team members

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 1–2 years of experience in data entry, operations support, or financial services

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive tasks

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams

  • Strong organizational, time management, and internal communication skills

  • Familiarity with loan, payment, or financial terminology preferred

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Structured training provided, including SOP documentation

  • Peer Quality Control (QC) is part of onboarding and ongoing workflow

  • No customer interaction; work is internal and team-focused

  • In-person interviews preferred
