Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Transportation Supervisor, the Bus Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of students and, when required, school personnel. This includes driving school buses on regular routes and special trips, ensuring passenger safety, maintaining order on the bus, and complying with all relevant laws and regulations. The position also involves routine vehicle inspections and recordkeeping.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), 20 hours of school bus trainee classes, 20 hours of behind the wheel training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience, or willingness to enroll in the Oroville Union High School District Bus Driver's training course; CA Commercial Driver's Class B License with special School Bus Certificate; First Aid required or ability to obtain prior to start date. Completed application, current resume, copies of all certificates are required. Incomplete applications will NOT be considered!

OUHSD will provide comprehensive training for qualified and interested applicants at no cost. All candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment DOT (Department of Transportation) drug screening and Live Scan fingerprinting as part of the hiring process. These pre-employment requirements will be coordinated and fully paid for by the District.
