Bus Driver - Cleaner, Messenger, or Maintainer

Syosset Central School District

Immediate Vacancy

The Syosset Central School District seeks a Bus Driver-Cleaner, Bus Driver-Messenger, or Bus Driver-Maintainer. This anticipated vacancy is a full-time, permanent Civil Service appointment. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• Possess a valid New York Commercial Drivers License (CDL) - Class B with Air Brakes, Passenger, School Bus endorsements

• Possess a valid New York Driver's License, with no convictions for moving violations during the past year and appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated

• Be at least 21 years of age.

• Satisfy all requirements of Article 19-A of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law

• Satisfy the requirements for School Bus Driver set forth in the Rules and Regulations of the New York State Commissioner of Education

• Possess excellent communication skills

• Ability to collaborate with a highly respected staff

Salary as per the Syosset Civil Service Employees' Association Contract
