REPORTS TO: Transportation Coordinator POSITION SUMMARY: Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School is seeking qualified, safety-conscious, and dependable School Bus Drivers to transport students safely and efficiently to and from school, athletic events, field trips, and other school-sponsored activities. The successful candidate will maintain a safe environment for students while operating District vehicles in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following: Safely operate a school bus on assigned routes and schedules. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles. Ensure the safety and orderly conduct of students while on the bus. Follow all Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) regulations and District transportation policies. Maintain accurate records and reports as required. Communicate effectively with students, parents, school personnel, and transportation staff. Attend required training sessions and meetings. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information. Performs any other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Must comply with all federal and state drug and alcohol testing requirements. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families. Strong commitment to student safety and customer service. Must be authorized to work in the United States EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts Commercial Driver''s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) Endorsement School Bus (S) Endorsement. Must successfully pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and maintain medical certification. High School Diploma required. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time benefit eligible position Bus Driver's work 181 school days HOURLY RATE AND WORK SCHEDULE: $26.78 per hour Hours: Morning Route: Monday through Friday 6:15 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. (Guaranteed 3 hours) Afternoon Route: Monday through Friday 2:00 p.m. - 3:20 p.m. (Guaranteed 3 hours) 3:20 p.m. Route: Monday through Thursday 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Additional route opportunities for athletic trips, field trips, and extracurricular transportation assignments.
