BUS DRIVER - Jacksonville, FL Only
This position requires CDL and School Bus (S) Endorsement
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide safe, courteous, bus transportation for school events, and calendared field trips.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Exercise maximum regard for the safety and welfare of all transported students while operating a school bus
- Assists students in the loading and unloading process
- Communicate effectively and professionally with school staff and the public
- Provide maximum safety for passengers while on the bus and during loading and unloading
- Maintain orderly conduct of pupils and manage them in a positive and effective way
- Complete the school bus driver training program as prescribed by state and local policies
- Obey all traffic laws
SCHOOL BUS DRIVER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be of good moral character
- Excellent driving record
- Valid driver's license for at least 5 years
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, DOT Physical, and dexterity test
- Good verbal skills
- Be well-groomed and maintained in personal appearance, as well as be well mannered
Job Type: Be part of the on-call list during the 180-day school year.
Pay: $20.00 per hour.
