Role Description

The Bus Driver role at AVILA EXPRESS is a full-time driving job based in Jacksonville, NC. The Bus Driver is responsible for operating company buses safely, adhering to traffic laws, company policies, and scheduled timetables. Tasks include conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, monitoring passenger safety and maintaining a clean and orderly bus interior. The role also involves providing friendly, professional customer service, handling basic inquiries, and reporting any incidents, delays, or mechanical issues to management. The Bus Driver is expected to complete required documentation, follow defensive driving practices, and fuel buses as directed.

Qualifications

• Bus driving capabilities in commercial vehicle operation.

• Demonstrated defensive driving skills and a commitment to safe driving practices.
• \n
• Experience with formal driver training or willingness to participate in company-provided training programs.
• \n
• Customer service skills, including professional communication and a respectful attitude toward all passengers.
• \n
• Valid commercial B license with passenger endorsement for passenger transport.
• \n
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug/alcohol screening as required.
• \n
• Ability to sit for extended periods, assist passengers when needed, and work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
• \n
• Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to follow schedules and company procedures with minimal supervision.

• Must be able to gain access to military bases
• \n
• Must be available as needed when needed.
