This position is responsible for transporting passengers throughout Durham according to set times and schedules. Duties involve the ability to operate a bus in a safe, reliable, and professional manner while providing excellent customer service, assistance with compassion, and being helpful to all passengers. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Experience: The successful candidate must be able to obtain a valid CDL Permit within 7 business days of class start and subsequently obtain a valid CDL prior to the completion of the full training class with a passenger endorsement and be able to maintain a DOT card. We prefer six years driving experience, the possession of a good driving record, and the ability to drive in all types of adverse weather is required. Because we provide an integral service to the public, our operators are expected to report to work during Adverse Weather conditions and sometimes work split shifts. Prior bus or heavy vehicle driving experience preferred. All successful candidates must first pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
