Position Summary
The School Bus Driver / Building Painter is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school and school-related activities. In addition, this position performs painting and general maintenance duties to ensure district facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This is a dual-assignment position requiring flexibility and adherence to both transportation and maintenance standards.

Working Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The primary work environment is in transportation and maintenance. The employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time while driving, stand, walk, bend, climb ladder and lift up to 20 pounds regularly. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must have the ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions and tolerate exposure to paint fumes, dust, and cleaning chemicals. The works schedule is a split shift (morning and afternoon bus routes; mid-day and summer maintenance duties). Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. This is not an exhaustive list and reasonable accommodations may be made as needed.
