Position Overview
Kansas City Christian School is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Bus Driver to primarily serve our North Bus Route. This position is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school each day while ensuring timely and reliable service. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required to support school events and athletic activities.
Route & Schedule
Morning Pick-Up:
Location: Open Door Baptist Church 3033 N 103rd Terrace, Kansas City, KS
Time: 7:15 AM
Afternoon Drop-Off:
Departure from KCC: 3:10 PM
Drop-off completion: approximately 3:40–3:45 PM
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport students along the assigned route
Maintain a positive, respectful, and student-friendly environment
Follow all traffic laws and school transportation policies
Conduct basic pre- and post-route vehicle checks
Communicate promptly with school administration regarding delays or concerns
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold a CDL; however, applicants willing to obtain a CDL are encouraged to apply, with reimbursement available
Valid driver’s license
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check
Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded
Agrees with our Statement of Faith and Human Dignity Policies
Experience driving a bus or large vehicle preferred but not required
Compensation
$100 per day for driving both morning and afternoon routes
A tuition discount may be considered in place of daily pay
