The School District of West Salem is right next door to La Crosse in the beautiful Coulee Region of Western Wisconsin. Our 3 buildings are within walking distance of each other on an approximate 100-acre campus on the edge of town. Students in grades 4-12 are issued MacBooks or iPads as part of its 1:1 digital learning environment. Our transportation facility is located about a mile away from the campus. The facility includes: 3 garage bays, 1 vehicle bay, 1 wash bay, updated lighting, a secure facility with cameras, and canopies for the buses to park under.
The District is seeking quality individuals who would like the opportunity to become part of our transportation team as a bus driver.
Approximate hours:
Part-time, School Year, Monday-Friday 6:30-8:00am and 2:30-4:30pm with extra hours available
There are additional opportunities to take trips as needed for student field trips and co-curricular trips.
Must have a good driving record, and have the ability to qualify for a Commercial Driver''s License with a School Bus Endorsement. Must have strong interpersonal skills, and work well with children of all ages. Training and licensing are included at no cost. A para will be on the bus with you to help manage the students.
