POSITION: (1) Bus Operator (Energy Express & other Extended School Year Programs as needed)

CONTRACT: Monday-Friday

Effective June 16th-July 25, 2026

June 16th-July 10, 2026 (Morning and Evening Bus Routes)

July 13, 2026-July 24, 2026 (Morning and Mid-Day Bus Routes)

(Excluding June 19 & July 3, 2026)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school education or equivalent
• Complete and pass WV Bus Operator ServicePersonnel Test
• Work in a prompt and accuratestyle

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• All duties and responsibilities as listed in the Wirt County Schools Bus Operator Job Description
• Maintains and/or upgrades skills
• Demonstrates effective work habits, expected to be present during scheduled working hours
• Performs duties efficiently and productively
• Must be available for all Emergency School Closings
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent, Transportation Director, or Transportation Supervisor

SUPERVISOR: Superintendent, Director of Transportation, and Transportation Supervisor

SALARY: Based on Wirt County Salary Scale and job classification and years of service.
