Job Description:

We are seeking a technically strong Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a solid background in data engineering, data pipelines, and data integration. This is not a traditional BSA role; the ideal candidate will work closely with engineering teams on data flows, ontology modeling, and technical solution delivery while also supporting Agile delivery processes.

The candidate should be comfortable taking on Scrum Master responsibilities when needed, facilitating Agile ceremonies, tracking work in JIRA, and ensuring smooth project execution. Experience in the life sciences/pharmaceutical market access domain and Palantir Foundry is desirable but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to gather and translate technical and business requirements.
  • Work closely with data engineering teams to design, analyze, and optimize data pipelines and data flows.
  • Support ontology modeling and data integration initiatives.
  • Analyze data sources, transformations, and downstream dependencies to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in solution design discussions and provide functional and technical analysis.
  • Act as Scrum Master when required by facilitating Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
  • Track project progress using JIRA and ensure timely delivery of sprint commitments.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers while driving issue resolution.
  • Support testing, validation, and production deployment activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in data engineering, ETL/data pipelines, and data integration.
  • Experience working with data flows, data modeling, and technical system analysis.
  • Ability to bridge business requirements with technical implementation.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with knowledge of Scrum methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience using JIRA for backlog management and sprint tracking.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Palantir Foundry.
  • Understanding of ontology concepts and semantic data modeling.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical/life sciences market access domain.
  • Prior experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architecture.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data governance and metadata management.
  • Exposure to enterprise data platforms and workflow orchestration tools.
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
