Location: Austin, TX 78701 (Hybrid)

Position Overview:
  • We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst III to support multiple enterprise technology initiatives focused on enhancing and modernizing critical business applications. This role requires a senior-level Business Analyst who can effectively bridge the gap between business stakeholders and software development teams, ensuring business needs are accurately translated into technical requirements.
  • The ideal candidate will participate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and analysis to solution validation and post-implementation enhancements. This position requires strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, document analysis, surveys, workflow analysis, and other elicitation techniques.
  • Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and system enhancements.
  • Create clear and comprehensive business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, use cases, wireframes, mockups, and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, QA teams, and other cross-functional partners throughout the SDLC.
  • Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, including change management and traceability.
  • Participate in release planning, solution validation, and post-implementation support to ensure business requirements are successfully delivered.
  • Utilize Agile project management and requirements management tools to document, prioritize, and track requirements.
  • Mentor junior Business Analysts by promoting business analysis best practices and providing guidance on documentation standards and methodologies.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure project deliverables align with business objectives and user expectations.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience gathering business requirements through stakeholder interviews and documenting detailed system requirements.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience working within Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business process analysis, process improvement, and business process re-engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience writing user stories, use cases, and functional requirements following Business Analysis best practices.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience creating wireframes, mockups, or other UX-related documentation.
  • Minimum 5 years of strong written, verbal, and facilitation skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience producing well-organized business and technical documentation.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience supporting education-related organizations, public sector agencies, or education technology vendors.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Atlassian Jira.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using Modern Requirements or similar requirements management tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
