Our Client, an IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Business Analyst for their Austin, TX location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze end to end finance and controlling processes to translate business requirements into precise SAP FICO configurations that improve transparency and accuracy in financial reporting across the organization.
  • Design and document robust solutions for profit center accounting that enable clear profit tracking, margin analysis, and performance measurement for various business units while supporting strategic decision making.
  • Configure and optimize cost center accounting structures to enhance cost allocation methods, budget control, and variance analysis, ensuring that finance teams can monitor operating expenses effectively.
  • Develop and maintain internal order accounting designs that support project based tracking, capital expenditure monitoring, and detailed cost analysis for strategic initiatives.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive SAP FICO testing cycles that include unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure system changes meet functional and regulatory requirements.
  • Create detailed functional specifications for enhancements, reports, and interfaces in SAP FICO that guide technical teams in developing reliable and scalable solutions aligned with finance objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders in a hybrid work model to capture requirements, validate design options, and secure sign off on proposed SAP FICO changes that support business growth.
  • Provide day to day production support for SAP FICO incidents by performing root cause analysis, proposing corrective actions, and implementing sustainable fixes that minimize recurring issues.
  • Prepare and maintain high quality process documentation, configuration workbooks, and test evidence that support audit readiness and ongoing knowledge transfer within the finance and technology teams.
  • Conduct targeted user training and knowledge sharing sessions that build confidence in SAP FICO processes, promoting consistent use of standardized financial controls and data definitions.
  • Monitor data quality across profit center, cost center, and internal order master data to identify inconsistencies, recommend corrective actions, and support clean financial closing activities.
  • Coordinate with finance controllers and business partners to evaluate impact of organizational changes on SAP FICO settings, ensuring that structures remain aligned to evolving reporting and compliance needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in SAP FICO by analyzing system usage patterns, collecting feedback from users, and proposing enhancements that increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
 
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate extensive hands on experience in SAP FICO profit center accounting with at least eight years of end to end engagement in design, configuration, and support for complex enterprise environments.
  • Exhibit strong expertise in SAP FICO cost center accounting including planning, allocations, and assessments, with a track record of delivering reliable reporting for finance stakeholders.
  • Show proven practical experience in SAP FICO internal orders from creation to settlement, including control of investment measures and project related cost tracking for sizable portfolios.
  • Apply advanced SAP FICO testing skills by designing test scenarios, preparing test data, executing test cycles, and documenting results to ensure high quality financial system releases.
