About the Role
Stealth Entry is hiring a mid-level Business Analyst 2 for our client, the State of Ohio, to support the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. You will lead requirements gathering, analyze business processes, and support solution delivery. You will be the link between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping the agency understand its operations and recommending solutions that help it reach its goals.
What You’ll Do
Requirements Analysis and Documentation
- Lead requirements elicitation sessions with business stakeholders and technical teams
- Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and system interactions
- Develop business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Keep requirements clear, complete, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle
Solution Design and Validation
- Work with architects and developers to make sure solutions meet business needs
- Support testing by writing test cases, validating functionality, and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies, and propose ways to address them
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a primary point of contact for business units during project execution
- Facilitate workshops, demos, and status meetings
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
Process Improvement and Mentorship
- Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities
- Mentor junior Business Analysts and share best practices
- Contribute to documentation and requirements management standards and templates
What You Bring
- Up to 4 years of relevant business analysis experience
- Experience leading facilitated workshops for requirements analysis
- Experience creating workflows using formal notation such as BPMN
- Knowledge of formal requirements gathering methodologies
- Experience developing:
- Business requirements, including project initiation documents, objectives, and quality measures
- Functional requirements
- User (stakeholder) requirements that guide design, development, and test cases
- Non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, and usability
- Report specifications, including purpose, attributes, columns, owners, and runtime parameters
- Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM)
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and writing skills
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred
- 4-year college degree or equivalent
- Agile experience
- SQL knowledge
