Business Analyst (Billing & Payments)

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $43.18hr - $48.18hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• Four or more years of experience with business analysis.
• Proficiency with analytical tools such as Excel, Access or other similar tools for tracking and reporting.
• Ability to understand and conduct payment processing and reconciliation.
• Ability to follow and improve upon business processes.
• Strong attention to detail to validate information on forms is correct.
• Experience with manual data entry.
• Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle high-volume tasks during ramp-up periods.
• BA/BS Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or related discipline.

Responsibilities:

• Perform eligibility checks for potential customers for the Flexible Pricing Rate pilot.
• Monitor and compensate third parties for their performance in recruiting customers.
• Manage customer enrollment and payment operations for the Flexible Pricing Rate Pilot.
• Conduct additional reporting as required.
• Receive and validate enrollment forms from account managers.
• Submit eligible customers to a third party supplier for enrollment and confirm enrollment status to stakeholders.
• Act as a subject matter expert for the pilot's automated enrollment and billing platform.
• Pull data from the platform, ensure accuracy, and work with the third party platform provider to report bugs, make enhancements, and maintain the system.
• Oversee manual enrollment processes for Automation Service Providers.
• Maintain detailed metrics on enrollment activity, including number of customers, MW enrolled, and benefiters vs. non-benefiters.
• Track billing status and manage manual customer payments.
• Facilitate payments to contractors and other third parties.
• Perform analysis, consulting, and provide recommendations within the appropriate field.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with customer programs and billing in a utility or similarly regulated environment.
• Familiarity with SAP billing and/or payment systems.
• Experience using advanced analytical tools such SAS, Power BI or other similar tools.
• Experience working with budgets.
• Experience creating and using pivot tables, charts, and graphs and the ability to work with larger datasets.
• Proficiency identifying trends in complex data and arriving at solutions rooted in information.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Demonstrates strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively manage stress.
