Business Analyst

Payrate: $52.00 - $58.00/hr.
 
Summary:
Design Program Managers are connectors and problem solvers. By supporting the various aspects of design—from operations and process to strategy and culture—DPMs help design teams do their best work. This role will be embedded within the Discovery Design team, partnering directly with Product Design Managers to drive operational excellence, streamline workflows, and enable the team to deliver high-quality design at scale.
 
Responsibilities

• Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of design programs and initiatives across the Discovery Design team, ensuring alignment with broader product and design goals.
• Develop and maintain processes, tools, and frameworks that improve team efficiency, communication, and collaboration.
• Serve as the connective tissue between design, product management, engineering, research, content strategy, and other partner teams to ensure smooth execution of design workstreams.
• Partner with the design manager to forecast resourcing needs, manage team capacity, and ensure appropriate staffing across projects.
• Maintain visibility into the team's project portfolio, track progress against key milestones, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
• Facilitate regular communication of team progress, priorities, and dependencies to leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Support the cadence and logistics of design reviews, critiques, and other team rituals that foster a culture of craft and collaboration.
• Champion team culture initiatives, onboarding, offsites, team-building, and other activities that promote engagement and belonging.
• Continuously identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce friction, and improve the overall design development process.
• Ensure key decisions, processes, and project information are well-documented and accessible.

 
Qualifications:

• Experience running large sprints with short runway and supporting program work or events planning
• 4 years of experience of hardware products (including accessories) demand forecasting.
• 6 years of experience in business strategy, finance, analytics or sales planning experience.
• 5+ years of experience in program management, design operations, or a related field
• Experience working directly with design teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
• Track record of building and improving operational processes.
• Excel, Powerpoint, and Google Suite products experience.
• Ability to dive in and do the work.

 
Skills

• Working knowledge of AI and how it applies to creating process and operations.
• Strong understanding of design's role within the product lifecycle and how to partner effectively with design teams.

• Experience in design operations or supporting product design teams at a technology company.
• Familiarity with design tools and workflows (e.g., Figma, FigJam, or similar).
• Experience with Company's internal tools and processes.
• Background in or passion for design, UX, or creative fields.
• Experience supporting teams in the discovery/exploration phase of product development.
• Strong data literacy and ability to use metrics to inform decisions and measure program impact.
• Experience running large sprints with short runway and supporting program work or events planning.

 
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $52.00 - $58.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
