About the Position
A Business Analyst, Business Solutions an integral part of a project team that collaborates to formulate and define systems scope and objectives in accordance with business needs, and to develop and implement and resulting systems and/or applications. The individual engages with business stakeholders, senior leadership, IT groups and various cross-functional teams to conduct research and fact-finding activities for medium scaled projects with a moderate level of complexity. A Business Analyst also uses a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements to help develop and maintain end products that meet the needs of the business unit and the University and demonstrate knowledge or experience with automated solutions and AI tools for efficiency.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Collaborate with stakeholders in conducting the appropriate analysis and evaluation of business and user needs to document necessary requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria to IT partners; provide guidance and support to the business owners and IT partners during the project life cycles to ensure requirements are met throughout the various stages in a project.
Provide production support to business operations for applications in development or in maintenance mode by receiving and responding to issues or questions regarding the functionality of the product and determining the appropriate solution and/or the process for resolution.
Work directly with department senior leaders and cross-functional leads to provide trend analyses that help provide strategic guidance and guide decisions for operational strategies to improve efficiencies and manage business KPIs.
Participate in efforts to review and recommend improvements and subsequent development for functional enhancements and operational improvements; review and recommend changes to business processes to increase system effectiveness as necessary. Provide expertise and functional knowledge as well as analytical strategy during the implementation of new processes, initiatives and technology changes.
Develop and conduct acceptance testing for any changes made within applications based on agreed upon requirements that were determined with business stakeholders; assist and participate in system testing and support to increase effectiveness of new changes or modifications as required.
Create and execute a release strategy for post-production validation of changes that are made within the applications, including any follow up on issues found or questions identified by all stakeholders. Monitor system enhancements by use of reports, manual validation or cross-functional communication to ensure changes were migrated appropriately.
Adhere to application development methodology while providing support to the project team based on the business analyst and product owner roles within the specific project.
Have the ability to work 8 to 10 hour shifts as business needs necessitate, with start and end times that may vary.

Pay Range
The annual pay range for this position is $56,600 (minimum), $84,500 (midpoint), and $112,400 (maximum).*
