Responsibilities
The Business Analyst will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions across SaaS, on-premises software, and embedded hardware offerings. This role will collaborate closely with product management, software engineering and operations, hardware engineering, QA, and project delivery teams to define clear, actionable requirements and support the successful delivery and adoption of complex, integrated solutions.
This role also contributes to customer training and enablement, ensuring that customers understand system capabilities, workflows, and best practices. *Fully remote role with an expectation of 25% travel within the U.S.
Most Important Work Tasks
o Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for SaaS, on-premises, and embedded hardware-enabled solutions.
o Translate customer, operational, and regulatory needs into clear user stories, use cases, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
o Decompose complex system requirements involving software-hardware interactions into manageable components.
o Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, product managers, software engineers, hardware engineers, QA teams, and customer-facing teams.
o Facilitate requirements workshops, establish backlog, lead backlog grooming sessions, and guide design discussions.
o Clarify scope, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints throughout the development lifecycle.
o Support product managers with roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and impact analysis.
o Assist engineering teams during design, development, testing, and release by answering requirement-related questions and managing changes.
o Participate in system integration, UAT, and customer acceptance activities.
o Support customer training initiatives by helping develop training materials, documentation, and system workflows.
o Conduct or assist with customer training sessions, product walkthroughs, and knowledge-transfer meetings as needed.
o Act as a subject-matter resource for explaining system functionality, configuration options, and business processes to customers.
o Capture training feedback and customer insights to inform product improvements and future requirements.
o Maintain accurate requirements documentation, traceability matrices, process flows, and user guides.
o Identify opportunities to improve business processes, system usability, customer adoption, and operational efficiency.
o Contribute to continuous improvement of BA standards, templates, and best practices.

Education
Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent work experience, preferably in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
