Job Title: Senior Business Analyst Technical Accounting / Benefit Plans
Significant experience with audit processes, preferably within a professional services environment.
Ability to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and high-quality deliverables throughout the audit lifecycle.
Availability to work on a part-time basis to support seasonal workload spikes.
Ability to provide Cliented support during peak periods without creating a long-term full-time resource requirement.
Demonstrated expertise in this niche area with minimal onboarding or training required.
Ability to contribute immediately due to the specialized nature of the work.
Understanding that internal talent development in this area requires multiple years of training and carries a risk of resource rotation.
Strong track record of success in complex accounting roles.
Prior experience in large corporate environments preferred.
Ability to quickly integrate into existing teams and operate within established corporate standards and practices.
Deep expertise in technical accounting for benefit plans.
Thorough understanding of Department of Labor (DOL) and IRS regulations.
Experience working with non-standard financial statements and specialized accounting requirements.
Demonstrates strong customer interface and relationship management skills and performs effectively in a Senior Business Analyst role across teams.
Provides guidance and direction to peer and junior resources.
Defines high-level business processes, activities, functions, information flows, application relationships, and system interactions.
Creates business and system use cases, functional specifications, and related documentation.
Analyzes complex and new business situations, anticipates potential problems and future trends, and assesses opportunities, impacts, and risks.
Develops and implements plans and solutions to address customer needs and business challenges.
Independently creates Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) outlining project requirements, costs, objectives, milestones, and timelines.
Applies business analysis skills and experience across projects and oversees acceptance testing activities.
Contributes to the development of user guides and training materials.
Provides end-user training and supports users in developing effective work processes.
Collaborates with Scrum Masters to track sprint progress, including sprint logs and variance analysis between planned and deployed user stories.
Participates in resolving functional issues in post-production environments during cutover periods.
Works under limited supervision of Senior or Lead Business Analysts.
Prior experience working with clients in the Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods (Client), and Logistics industries is required.
Knowledge of information security awareness protocols, software security within the SDLC lifecycle, and OWASP Top 10 concepts is required.
Required:
Bachelor's Degree: B.E., B.Tech, or BCA
Master's Degree: M.Tech or ClientA
Preferred:
MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Business School
