About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and analytical Business Analyst to join a dynamic project team in the financial services industry. In this role, you will contribute to conducting research, analyzing business processes, and developing project documentation to ensure the successful delivery of project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and gather data to support project objectives and decision-making.
  • Analyze and document business processes, requirements, and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including requirements specifications, process maps, and user stories.
  • Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between IS and other divisional stakeholders to maintain, enhance, or integrate firm systems and data.
  • Map data structures and elements to business processes, ensuring accurate documentation of data usage.
  • Create and maintain business process models, data flow diagrams, prototypes, business requirements, use cases, and test cases.
  • Analyze the lifecycle of financial transactions, tracking data generation, transformation, and consumption.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience designing and implementing functional systems and structured data processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in Computer Science or MIS preferred (or equivalent work experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in data-intensive environments.
  • Ability to create new business processes and data usage to promote efficiency.
  • Experience or willingness to learn data replication (Qlik Replicate) and streaming technologies (Kafka).
  • Expert in Microsoft Office tools and evolving firm reporting technology platforms (Tableau, BI tools).
  • Familiarity with financial transactions (e.g., ACH, wires, checks) is a plus.
