Job Title: Business Analyst – Data & Optimization (Logistics/AI)

Location: HOUSTON, TX Hybrid (Mon–Thurs Onsite, Fri Remote)
Duration: 12 months on W2 contract
 
Job Summary:
 
Seeking a self-driven Business Analyst with a Logistics background and AI/data analytics experience to support data governance, automation, reporting, and optimization initiatives. The role focuses on improving data quality, enabling AI-driven insights, and supporting enterprise data management.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Lead deployment of reports, automation solutions, and data processes.
  • Support data governance, data mapping, and data quality initiatives.
  • Develop training materials, job aids, and user documentation.
  • Perform data analysis, AI-driven validation, and proof of concepts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data accessibility and business outcomes.
  • Create data dictionaries, metadata, and process documentation.
  • Use analytics to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
 
Required Skills:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience in data analysis, data governance, and data mapping.
  • Strong SQL, Power BI, and MS Office skills.
  • Knowledge of AI/automation, data quality, and metadata management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
 
Preferred:
 
  • Logistics or supply chain background.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Atlan, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Knowledge of data privacy/compliance and process optimization.
